Bryan has studied with many senior Iyengar instructors and is grateful for the blessings they have shared. In 1992 Bryan began a long period of study with his teacher Aadil Palkhivala. Aadil’s teaching has inspired Bryan to expand the practice of yoga from the yoga mat to all of life.
In 1998 Bryan founded the Great Yoga Wall Company, a distributor of exclusive high end yoga equipment used all over the world.
Bryan’s current passion is the study and application of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and teaching how they can be applied to our lives.
Join us for a fantastic weekend of learning and fun on the Great Yoga Wall.

Shitali Karana with Jehangir Palkhivala
Dates:Thursday evening, April 29
Time:
Cost:$20
Beloved perennial guest teacher Jehangir Palkhivala will teach this unusual and effective practice (not related to Shitali Pranayama). The effects can be felt by absolute beginners, and sensitive yoga practitioners will find Shitali Karana uncommonly beneficial. Swami Rama said “There is no exercise known to be higher and better than this exercise to alleviate stress.” In clinical trials, the blood sugar of diabetics is reported to have dropped by 25% and the Swami tells us that 41 cases of insomnia were cured within 7 days. This practice is also a blessing for those suffering from depression. Teachers will find this an exceptional technique to help students with a wide variety of imbalances, physical or mental. As always, it is advised that the teacher first practice Shitali Karana enough to enjoy and appreciate its effects, and only then start teaching it. Contact Ruth Fisk at 333-9883 ext. 2
Parivrtta (Revolved) Sequence, with Jehangir Palkhivala
Dates:Friday, April 30 – Sunday, May 2
Time:
Cost:$285 for the entire weekend.
This year, Jehangir will teach the Parivrtta series of asanas; excellent for physical flexibility and strength, particularly in the muscles, joints and spine. Mentally, these asanas develop coordination and balance. As usual, breath consciousness plays a pivotal role throughout the sequence. This sequence also invites us to look at things differently – parivrtta, or twisted around, as it were! Contact Ruth Fisk for details at 517.333.9883, ext 2.
