At Center for Yoga we offer over 30 Yoga classes per week. Most of our teachers are steeped in the methodology, philosophy and traditions of Guruji BKS Iyengar under the guidance of Ruth Fisk. Classes range from beginner to advanced levels. You will progress in your practice without being challenged to go beyond your capacity so you are able to fulfill your health potential. Our intention is to provide the community with a comfortable and supportive environment for learning, sharing, and healing.
Our class offerings are designed to support any body doing Yoga. We offer Yoga for Arthritis, Chair Yoga, Gentle Yoga for Health Challenges, Pre-natal Yoga and much MORE! Our 2 studios are fully equipped with the essential props to which includes chairs, mats, sandbags, blankets, and blocks to support your practice where you are. At Center for Yoga we offer Restorative Yoga, Jivamukti Yoga, and Meditation and are home to The Great Yoga Rope Wall. Several of our teachers also offer one on one sessions that can address specific needs to help you in your practice.
Anandalay Yoga Study is a program taught by Ruth Fisk at Center for Yoga to enrich your understanding of Yoga's history and create value and meaning in the tools Yoga can provide in your everyday life.
In addition, we are overjoyed to be the annual Midwest stop for Jehangir Palkhivala of Mumbai, India, a spiritual teacher who studied with BKS Iyengar from the age of 7. Jehangir shares his brilliance and remarkable depth of understanding of bringing Yoga into your life.
