About Us

Learn a little more about Center for Yoga

At Center for Yoga, Movement and Massage we offer classes that are designed to support any body
in their practice of Yoga. Our studio provides you with all the essential yoga props necessary to practice. We offer Yoga classes for Beginners to Advanced, from Chairs to Ropes, as well as Yoga for Health Challenges and Ageless Yoga, and much, much more. All of our classes support you where you need to begin and require no prerequisites.

Yoga classes are structured to integrate the whole of Yoga and spend time each class on being active and reflective and always include time for rest and relaxation. We will show you how to use your breath and how to progress in Yoga without being asked to go beyond your capacity, so you are able to fulfill your health potential.

With our intention being to provide you with a comfortable and supportive environment for learning, sharing and healing, our studios are fully equipped with the essential props to support your practice. We occasionally offer Chair Yoga, Prenatal Yoga and are home to The Great Yoga Rope Wall. We also offer Restorative Yoga, Jivamukti Yoga, and Meditation.  Several of our teachers offer one on one sessions that can address specific needs to help you in your practice.

Dear valued students, clients and Center for Yoga Community

As members of a larger global community we're committed to doing our part to help keep our community healthy. Our strength comes from how we care for each other and as a small business, though small we are mighty. We appreciate, as always, your continued support, together we have gotten through 2020 and we will forge ahead to shape our future and what that will look like in 2021.
As we embark on returning to in-person class settings it is important for you to know that what we have in place to keep you comfortable and worry free while at the Center is remarkable and of the highest standard of safety without compromising our commitment to the environment and our chemical free standards. At the Center we are utilizing a system that changes the compound in water to a stable aqueous ozone fluid that when sprayed/fogged into the air and on contact surfaces kills 99.0% of all pathogens including but not limited to Covid. You can find out more about this here: https://tersano.com/pages/compliance   When you click on this link you may get a page that says '404, this page can't be found, but you will be in the website, just go to the top bar and navigate to Proof.

We clean the studios and props each time they are used with this along with using this in the bathrooms and other shared spaces. We provide all props that have been sanitized prior and post use for your safety. No props from the outside can be brought in, we will provide them all for your use.
Additionally we are utilizing UV-technology that does a similar thing. It is used widely in other venues and our UV light is 18 watts, which is one of the higher ones available for non-surgical use. We also are running a air purifier that does both ozonate the air as well as offer UV filtering, which we run after classes. There are many other details to speak of, but, mostly we want to ensure you that we are doing our very most to create a safe environment to be in. If you have questions you can email Ruth at: center4yoga10@gmail.com.

Please make contact with your teacher to find out when they may again be holding in person classes. Many teachers have begun in-person classes, some remain online. Check your teachers page to see what is new, and look in on the Massage folks to be updated of their situations as well.

Please know how much your support, friendship and commitment means to all of us at Center for Yoga, but now more than ever I am deeply conscious of our interconnectedness. All of us at CFY are committed to being in service to you and is an absolute joy and privilege and we will be here for you in any way that we can. Our hardships will be shared and when we meet again, our hearts will be glad.

We wish for you Peace and Tranquility as we continue to navigate this.
We are available by email; center4yoga10@gmail.com, if you need anything at all.
In service, love and light, Ruth Fisk and ALL of us at Center for Yoga, Movement and Massage.
