Instructors
Center for Yoga Instructors embody the breadth and depth of Yoga traditions to support people in their movement toward wholeness. We are unique among Yoga centers as we offer classes that are rooted in Classical and Traditional Yoga that can be traced to a lineage. It is just this feature that allows us to meet the broad range of needs of our students and clients by helping them find the Yoga class that is best suited for their overall current physical and mental state. Please see the Class Descriptions for more information on this.
Teachers at Center for Yoga are dedicated to teaching the students that are in front of them. They are all students of their craft that have earned teaching certificates or certifications that afford them the knowledge and expertise to guide their students safely and effectively toward understanding the purpose of Yoga in one's life.
Many of the Yoga teachers are steeped in the methodology and philosophy of Iyengar Yoga under the guidance and support of Ruth Fisk, Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher of 37 years, and completed a 200 hour Certificate of Completion from Anandalay Yoga Study Program and are registered with Yoga Alliance. Several of our instructors possess teaching certificates from other traditions or methods and all of us continue to develop our teaching and personal practice.
At Center for Yoga we are home to teachers who have completed Restorative Yoga teacher training 'Relax and Renew' with Judith Lasater and to the only certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher in the greater Lansing area.
